About Matt Mojo Tedder

Born August 1, 1995, Matt "Mojo" Tedder is currently in the 7th grade at Aledo Middle School in Aledo TX.

He had his first guitar lesson when he was 8 years old from John Dennie, a guitarist in Weatherford, TX.  Dennie was so impressed with Matt's talent, he invited him to play on the stage with his band at The Point Restaurant, Fort Worth TX.  At that time, Matt was only 9 years old.  Dennie introduced Matt to the audience at the restaurant as Matt "Mojo" Tedder.  Matt loved this nickname and has used it since.

Due to a career change, Dennie wasn't available to continue Matt's guitar lessons so Matt needed to find another teacher.   He found John Nitzinger, a legendary Texas guitarist, who has performed with renowned artists such as B.B King and Alice Cooper.

When Matt went for his first lesson, John asked him to play something for him. After hearing Matt play, he ran out of his room and called all of his friends into the room to listen to him. He was amazed at Matt's skill.

John was so impressed with Matt's talent, he invited Matt to play with him on the stage of McDavid Studios of Bass Hall in Fort Worth. John told the audience that he may be retiring but he had cloned himself and this was him again at 10 years old.  The audience gave Matt a standing ovation at the end of his performance!  Since then, Matt has performed with John in Waco, Texas and The Ridglee Theater in Fort Worth Texas.

In 2006, Matt met Dennis Dullea, a Texas Blues guitarist with over 40 years of experience.  Dennis became Matthew's guitar teacher and has continued to be at this writing.

While Matt is focused on developing his guitar skills, he is also starting to work on developing his vocal skills.
