- Matthew Tedder was born on August 1st , 1995
- Currently he is in 7 th grade at Aledo Middle School , Aledo, Texas
- When he was 4 months old he was keeping the beat to the car radio by shaking one arm in his car seat and making everybody around him laugh.
- When he was a little kid he loved to listen to the music, and could hum the beat without words
- Although we had guitars and a piano in the house there was not a noticeable interest in playing musical instruments by him until the age of 8.
- He took his first guitar lesson at the age of 8 from John Dennie, a guitarist, from Weatherford, Texas.
- Dennie was so impressed with his talent; he invited him to play on the stage with his band at The Point Restaurant, Fort Worth Texas. Matt was 9 years old.
- Dennie introduced Matt at The Point restaurant as Matt " Mojo" Tedder. Matt loved this nick name and kept it.
- Matt's dad found John Nitzinger through an add for guitar lessons and took Matt to his studio.
- John asked him to play something for him and after hearing him play he ran out of his room and called all of his friends into the room to listen to him. He was amazed.
- Matt performed on Stage at The Point Restaurant with his first guitar teacher John Dennie a few more times but due to a career change Dennie was no longer available to give guitar lessons.
- Matthew started taking lessons from John Nitzinger.
- John was so impressed with his talent he invited Matt to play with him on the stage of McDavid Studios of Bass Hall in downtown, Fort Worth.
- John invited Matt to the stage again as Matt " Mojo" Tedder. He told the audience that he may be retiring but he had cloned himself and this was him again at 10 years old.
- Matthew received standing ovations from the audience after his performance with John Nitzinger and gave out autographs at Mc David Studio.
- He also performed with John Nitzinger in Waco,Texas and The Ridglee Theater in Fort Worth Texas.
- About 2 years ago, Matt and his dad were in a Guitar Center in Fort Worth. From the other end of the store they heard someone playing a guitar. The name of that man who was playing that guitar was Dennis Dullea.
- After an introduction and inquiry the man playing the guitar that day became Matthew's guitar teacher and has continued to be at this writing.
- Dennis and Matthew have become good friends and Matt has learned so much from him.
- Everyone in our family considers Mr. Dullea a very close friend and feel that we are lucky to have him as Matthews blues guitar teacher.
- Matt is always happy. His sister Jessica often thinks there is something wrong with him because he is always happy!
- Matt is a very active and outgoing kid. He seems to have no difficulty in finding things to do in his spare time.
- You can often see Matt shooting baskets in the yard or
- going down the drive way with his fishing pole in his hand to catch fish in the lake
- or intensely working on building a model airplane in his room.
- Matt has become quite the golfer in the last 6 months. With a beautiful golf course just minutes away from our house, we often just drop him off for 9 holes and let him spend all the time possible chipping and putting and hitting hundreds of range balls. He has been bitten by the golf bug. He is a left-handed golfer.
- His Favorite guitar players are: B.B King, Steve Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin.
- He is working on developing his singing now. It is a lot of fun raising Matt and being around him. The only difference between him and Tom Sawyer is that Matt plays the guitar. Other than that and according to Matt he can wear the same clothes for a week, never need to take another shower or wash his hands or comb his hair. He is all boy.
